Mandy has been loving the women of Baltimore for over 15 years. What began as a community women's Christmas event, grew into a weekly life group, and then exploded into the creation of a life development center and now a social enterprise. With deep passion and a call to transform women’s lives, Mandy is a force for change in Baltimore. As a social entrepreneur, she leads, first with love, then as an expert and visionary-- always staying true to her core desire: to have each woman she meets know that they are beautiful and have great purpose.
Barbara, a survivor of her own trauma story, understands the journey of transformation the women of The Well experience as they learn to survive and thrive. Professionally, Barbara has extensive leadership experience serving as director for several nonprofit and service organizations— helping to secure grants, build six-figure events, develop corporate partnerships, and create compelling campaigns to support women, children, and people with disabilities worldwide. She brings with her to the role of Director of Programs a bandwidth of expertise, including knowledge of trauma-informed practices, marketing strategizing, and business coaching. Barbara is a compassionate leader who desires to help women feel confident that they deserve to be heard, seen, loved, and celebrated.
Sarah has served as an advocate for survivors of trauma, including human trafficking, for the past ten years. She is a local and nationwide presenter, equipping the Church and Community to engage in healing communities for survivors. In addition to an undergraduate degree in psychology and a master’s in theology, Sarah has more than 20 years’ experience in local church leadership. She is passionate about connecting the local church with the understanding of, and healing power potential for, the sexually exploited individual. Sarah is thrilled to be working at The Well where she has found a place that allows her to bring all of who she is and a place where God continues to transform her life.
Laura Coleman, M.A.T, Ed.S., is an award winning educator who relocated to Baltimore from the midwest. By spring of 2014, she had stepped away from the classroom and volunteered on a street outreach intersecting with individuals held captive by their trauma. Laura has completed training through the Trauma Healing Institute and is a Fellow with the C.S. Lewis Institute in Annapolis, MD. She is humbled by the way God allows her to bring His hope to those who need healing. Laura enjoys city living. She balances out her work by serving as a puppy raiser for Guiding Eyes for the Blind where she has learned about unconditional love and keeping her focus on the one she serves.
Naomi, a Baltimore native, has nearly 20 years of experience in communications, digital media, and project management. She has deep connections in and around the city, and her love for Baltimore has allowed her to build meaningful and strategic partnerships. In her role as Director of Marketing and Communications, Naomi oversees the marketing and communications efforts for The Well and Hon’s Honey.
Naomi is a published multimedia journalist, author, and former radio host. In addition, she was also crowned Baltimore’s Best Hon 2022 of the well-loved Baltimore Hons. Naomi considers it a great privilege to work alongside the “Worker Bees” of Hon’s Honey while supporting The Well’s mission.
Susan started volunteering at The Well in 2018 assisting with childcare and transitioned to overseeing our childcare program in 2019. She officially joined our staff as the Childcare Director in 2021! Susan has over 30 years of experience working with children and is a certified preschool teacher ages infant- PreK4. Her desire and passion is that every child would know that they are loved and that Jesus is their friend. Susan is a pastor’s wife, a momma of three amazing children and a very ornery dog named Buddy.
Alison joined The Well staff right in the middle of the pandemic in 2020. She served as The Well’s Social Worker for about a year and is now working on the administrative/operational side of The Well. Alison loves to walk alongside women and empower them to see themselves the way God sees them. Her life goal is to do more than just talk about Jesus, but to truly love like Him. She is a firm believer that love really can heal. Alison is a wife, mother and lover of all animals.
Niki is an Annapolis native who graduated from Randolph Macon Woman’s College and the University of Baltimore School of Law. Wanting to put her feet to her faith, Niki began working in the nonprofit world. She recently retired after 25 years as an attorney, including several years in Baltimore City coordinating the Legal Services to the Elderly, a pro bono program that provided legal services to older, low-income city residents. Niki is excited to be the hands and feet of Jesus and part of the beautiful work God is doing through The Well.
Rebekah has a passion for connecting with others to bring about healing and restoration. She joined The Well at the end of 2022 and holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland. Rebekah seeks peace and beauty in all that she does. She has a joyful spirit and is artistic, creative, and musical. When Rebekah is not serving at The Well, she loves to spend time outside with her husband, three daughters, and long haired German Shepherd.
Dominique Evans is an alumnus from the illustrious Bowie State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work in 2020. She is determined to continue her studies and become a Licensed Social Worker. Dominique values integrity, service and social justice. She is committed to being an advocate for the community of Curtis Bay and beyond and is continually inspired by the beautiful souls of each woman who enters The Well.
Abigail is an Annapolis native and currently a college student at Anne Arundel Community College, majoring in Human Services. As a dynamic missionary, Abigail is driven by a deep sense of passion for protecting and supporting vulnerable or marginalized people. She balances her strength and compassion in her pursuit of justice and change. Her deep empathy for others, stemming from her Christian values, tempers her assertiveness with understanding. She brings a sense of authenticity and transparency to her faith, openly sharing her struggles and victories to inspire others on their spiritual journeys. Her commitment to serving the Lord with her life helps create a space where people can experience growth and spiritual depth.
Jolie has volunteered in the Curtis Bay community since elementary school. She has volunteered in childcare, the Hope Chest, food distribution and answered phones at the front desk. She joined the marketing team in the Summer of 2020. She is passionate about finding creative ways to communicate and market the mission of The Well & Hon's Honey. Additionally, she wants to see women empowered to step into their highest potential.
Angie does a little of everything at The Well. She started at the front desk then moved into event coordination and now is currently a “Worker Bee” with Hon’s Honey. She is also a staff member. “I initially was drawn to The Well as a nosey neighbor, but what I found was a community of women that I can relate to and a safe place where it's ok to not be ok."
